The Aveda Stress-Relieving Treatment is a relaxing scalp, neck and shoulder massage using Aveda Balancing Compositions or Infusions. Designed to eliminate the buildup of products and impurities, the Stress-Relieving Treatment conditions, lubricates and balances the scalp and hair.

Aveda performs a complimentary service done prior to a shampoo and cut: the client's hair and scalp are examined to determine the appropriate product selection. To promote relaxation, the professional massages shoulders and neck using gentle, yet firm, pressure.

The scalp is then massaged with an Aveda Balancing Composition, or the appropriate Balancing Infusion, to address the client's specific scalp and hair needs. Once the product is massaged thoroughly into the scalp, hair is gently brushed through to extend moisture to the ends of the hair.

The treatment takes about five minutes and is followed with the application of an Aveda shampoo and conditioner.
